Color Theory Poster – Vibrant Reference Guide Wall Art
Most color theory posters look decorative from three feet away and fall apart when you actually try to learn from them. We wanted the opposite. The full twelve-part wheel sits in the middle with every segment labeled, and the important terms appear next to the picture they describe.
So harmonies aren't tucked into a legend somewhere, they're drawn against the wheel itself. Tints, tones, and shades get real swatch examples instead of dictionary definitions. Teachers tell us this is the one students photograph at the end of term, which we took as the compliment it was.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which color system does the wheel use?
RYB, the artist's wheel. Red, yellow, and blue hold the primary seats because that's how pigment behaves and how most curricula teach it. Screen work runs on different math, which the tools and articles here cover separately.
Is it suitable for complete beginners?
They're exactly who we designed it for. Nothing assumes prior knowledge, and every term arrives with its visual example attached. Experienced artists mostly buy it for the wheel alone.
What's the difference between a tint, a tone, and a shade?
Add white and you get a tint. Add black for a shade. Add gray for a tone. It sounds pedantic until you're building a palette and wondering why the pieces don't agree; the poster shows all three side by side.
